Community Education & Support

Personalized, one-on-one guidance that connects families to real resources, support, and long-term solutions.
Whether it’s housing, employment, education, or basic needs—our team walks alongside families every step of the way.

What It Is

Our Community Education & Support Program offers free workshops, classes, and group sessions designed to support families in building confidence, learning new skills, and connecting with others in a welcoming and judgment-free environment.

We believe that learning happens in community, and everyone deserves the chance to grow, ask questions, and feel supported.

What We Offer

We currently offer support in the following areas:

  • Parenting & Family Support Workshops
Learn tools for communication, emotional support, routines, and strengthening family bonds.

  • Mommy & Me Sessions
A safe and friendly space for caregivers and young children to bond, learn, and play.

  • Career & Life Skills Classes
Resume building, job readiness, interview practice, and financial planning basics.

  • Student Success Support
FAFSA/TASFA help, scholarship guidance, college application support, and academic planning.

Classes are designed to be interactive, practical, and culturally responsive — created with our families in mind.

Community Closet - Family Services

Community Closet

Providing clothing and hygiene essentials that bring comfort, confidence, and dignity.
Families can shop at no cost through our voucher program, ensuring access to the basics they need while feeling respected and valued.

What It Is

The After Hours Community Closet operates as a thrift-style community space where families can shop for free and affordable clothing and hygiene items. Our goal is to make sure every family has access to the essentials they need—whether it’s school clothes for a child, work attire for a parent, or everyday basics for the home. The Closet is part of our Family Services Department and is supported entirely by community donations and volunteers. While everyone is welcome to browse our affordable items, families experiencing financial hardship can receive a clothing voucher for free items through our Voucher Assistance Program.

All funds collected through purchases at the Closet go directly toward restocking hygiene products, clothing essentials, and other supplies needed to keep the Closet running. Every dollar spent helps another family in need.

What We Do

Our team collects, sorts, and organizes donated clothing and hygiene products to create a warm, store-like environment where families can choose items that fit their needs and style.

We work closely with schools, shelters, and partner organizations to fulfill referrals for emergency clothing requests and host community distribution events throughout the year.

Every item shared and every purchase made supports our mission to ensure that no family goes without the essentials.

How to Receive Support

Families can access the Community Closet in the following ways:

  1. 📝 Apply for a Voucher – Families in need can complete a short application to receive free clothing and hygiene items through our Voucher Assistance Program.

  2. 🤝 Referral from a Partner or School – Parent liaisons, caseworkers, or community organizations can refer families directly to us.

  3. 🛍️ Shop the Thrift-Style Closet – Anyone in the community can shop at the Closet. All proceeds directly fund hygiene products, clothing restocks, and other Closet needs to keep the program sustainable.

Once approved, our Family Services Team will contact the family to schedule a visit or pickup at our Temporary Office.
