Message from our Executive Director

My goal as Executive Director is to lead After Hours Community Project with intention, integrity, and a deep commitment to working families. I am guided by the values of hard work, service, and community, and by the belief that meaningful change happens when support is accessible, respectful, and rooted in real life.
After Hours Community Project exists to serve families who work hard, care deeply, and still face barriers to stability. With the support of our community and the dedication of our team, my vision is for AHCP to continue growing our Education & Wellness programs, expanding evening-based opportunities that allow families to learn, connect, and access resources without having to choose between their responsibilities and their well-being.
As we move forward, we aim to strengthen family education, expand wellness activities, and increase access to basic needs support in ways that meet families where they are. Our focus remains on building long-term stability, dignity, and connection for the families we serve.
In the spirit of service, I believe that leadership is not about recognition, but about impact — and about how much difference we can make in the lives of others when we show up with consistency, compassion, and purpose.
With community always,
Rafael Diaz-Martinez
