The After Hours Community Project Thrift & Community Closet is a community-based program designed to meet families’ basic clothing and hygiene needs with dignity and choice. Through a combination of low-cost thrift shopping and a voucher-based closet program, we ensure families have access to essential items while supporting the sustainability of our services.
Our Thrift & Community Closet operates during evening hours to better serve working families and individuals who may not be able to access resources during the day.
Our thrift space is open to the community and offers affordable clothing, shoes, and select household and personal care items.
Low-cost pricing to keep items accessible
Open to all community members
Proceeds directly support free family services and programs
Every purchase helps fund clothing vouchers, hygiene supplies, and family support services.
How it Works?
Families experiencing financial hardship may qualify for a clothing and hygiene voucher that allows them to access items at no cost through our Community Closet.
To receive a voucher, individuals must first complete an intake process with a Family Navigator, who will help assess needs and connect families to appropriate resources and support services.
Through this program, individuals and families can shop our closet and select items they feel confident and comfortable wearing, then check out using their approved voucher. This process provides a respectful and discreet way to receive support while maintaining dignity and choice.
Vouchers may be used for:
Clothing for children and adults
Shoes and seasonal items
Basic hygiene and personal care products
Depending on individual needs and available resources, additional support may be provided on a case-by-case basis.
Eligible individuals may apply for a new voucher every three (3) months.
Voucher assistance is offered at no cost to those who qualify and is provided with care, respect, and a commitment to supporting each individual’s unique situation.
