Executive Director & Founder
Rafael Diaz serves as Executive Director of After Hours Community Project, where he leads strategic planning, organizational growth, and program development while overseeing all operational, financial, and programmatic aspects of the grassroots nonprofit. He manages key departments including Executive Leadership, HR, Finance, Operations, and Grants & Compliance, ensuring programs and services run efficiently and effectively. Working closely with the founding board, Rafael guides governance, policy development, and long-term sustainability planning to advance the organization’s mission of supporting families in need.
With extensive experience in education, youth development, case management, and administrative leadership across public and community sectors, he builds strong partnerships with volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders to create pathways to opportunity throughout the region. Beyond his professional work, Rafael is dedicated to fostering equitable access to resources, education, and support for children and families in his community.
Program Coordinator
Deanna Martinez serves as Program Coordinator and member of the Executive Team at After Hours Community Project, where she leads community outreach, educational workshops and classes, program coordination, and development of community partnerships. As a trained Community Health Worker with extensive experience in health education, family support, and parenting programs, Deanna brings a wealth of expertise in designing and delivering programs that empower children, parents, and families.
In her executive role, she works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure programs align with organizational goals, maintain high-quality services, and meet grant requirements. Deanna is passionate about fostering supportive, inclusive communities and creating meaningful opportunities for growth, learning, and well-being throughout the region.
Program Coordinator
Natasha Gonzalez serves as the Program Coordinator for Family Services at After Hours Community Project. She began her journey with the organization as a volunteer and, through her dedication and passion for serving others, transitioned into a staff role.
Natasha holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, which supports her strong communication skills and ability to connect with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Inspired by a lifelong commitment to giving back, she was raised in a family that valued community service and altruism. From organizing fundraisers to volunteering at local events, serving others has always been a natural part of her life.
At After Hours, Natasha is passionate about building meaningful connections. She enjoys getting to know individuals and hearing their stories, believing that those relationships are at the heart of strong communities. She also values the positive and supportive environment within the team, which continues to motivate her in her work.
Looking ahead, Natasha hopes to see After Hours grow in its capacity to serve the community and continue providing essential resources to those in need. She is proud to be part of a team dedicated to making a lasting impact.
Outside of her work, Natasha is a proud cat lover and enjoys caring for her 10 beloved cats at home.
